IVF stands for In vitro fertilisation, a procedure in which eggs and sperm are combined outside of the woman’s body. The fertilisation takes place in a petri dish, and then any resulting embryos are cultivated for 3, 5, or 6 days. When and if they are ready, one or two embryos are transferred back into the woman’s uterus.
IVF success rates in India are around 30% to 35% per cycle, which means that most people will need more than one cycle. However, this success rate decreases dramatically as a woman gets older. Speak directly with your clinic about their success rates for women of your age.
Some people have medical conditions or problems that make their sperm or eggs unsuitable for conception. In these cases, donor eggs, sperm, or even embryos can be used for a successful pregnancy.
Before you choose your preferred fertility centre in Delhi, you have a lot of factors to consider. Here are just a few things you need to think about:
Art Fertility employs a team of experienced embryologists and doctors, and boasts a 67% pregnancy rate without sperm or egg donation (in young women with no complicating factors).
They offer state of the art equipment, as well as a dedicated team who undertake proprietary research and publish peer-reviewed articles in international journals.

Struggling to conceive can be emotionally draining. We are here to help you. It is important to talk to an expert to discuss next steps. Why not get in touch with one of our experts for a free initial consultation
The cost of IVF in Delhi varies wildly depending on the treatment you need to increase your chances of success. Remember – high costs do not necessarily translate into higher success rates. Some of these add-ons are expensive but do not actually have clinical evidence to back them up. Do your research, and speak to a number of different IVF clinics in Delhi before you make your choice.
In most cases, the cost of Delhi IVF costs between Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 250000, which includes the prescribed medications you have to take. However, many people end up spending more than Rs. 600,000 or more on a successful series of IVF treatments.
It is always difficult to compare different IVF clinic success rates because success depends on so many different factors. When you are looking at different success rates, you need to ensure you are comparing ‘like for like’ – what are the ages, medical conditions, and treatment protocols that the specific clinic deals with?
You’ll find that IVF success rates in Delhi are some of the highest in the world. The clinics and doctors here are hard-working and always striving for new techniques. This is one of the best places in the world for affordable IVF with good success rates.
Remember – when you see a success rate that is ‘too good to be true’ – it probably is. Some of the clinics only advertise their success rates with specific groups of people. So, that 75% success rate might not apply to a 42-year-old woman with endometriosis but instead to a young and healthy woman using donor sperm.
Be sure to speak to your chosen clinic and ask them about the success rates for patients like yourself.
When you’re looking for an IVF clinic in Delhi, ‘cheap’ shouldn’t be your top priority. With medical treatment, you get what you pay for! The clinics we have showcased offer a good balance of care, successful results, and affordability.
That said, sometimes you can only afford cheap IVF in Delhi. In that case, we recommend that you get in touch with the different clinics on our list. Speak to them about your needs, your concerns, and your budget, and see what they can do for you.
If they cannot work within your budget, you should also ask for more information about payment plans. Some clinics allow you to finance your treatment so you can afford it more easily.
We recommend getting in touch with ART Fertility Vrinda, Baby Joy, and Aashkiran first, as they offer payment plans and have some more affordable rates. But all of the clinics listed may be able to work within your budget – get in touch with them for more information about their prices.
Below, we’ve listed some of the services and options you’ll find at the best IVF centres in Delhi. Not every clinic offers every one of these services, so be sure to ask the administration team during your initial call or email if you’re looking for something specific. Otherwise, your doctor will recommend the right treatments for your needs.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
IUI is a minimally invasive technique that does not require egg retrieval. In this procedure, the lab technicians use a washing technique to select the strongest sperm. These sperm are then placed directly into the woman’s uterus with a catheter. IUI can be done with or without female hormonal medication.
In Vitro Fertililisation (IVF)In vitro fertilization (IVF) translates to ‘fertilization in glass.’ You’ll sometimes hear people call the process making a ‘test-tube baby.’ During IVF, a woman takes injectable hormones to produce more than one egg. The eggs are surgically retrieved and then paired with sperm in a petri dish. Any resulting embryos are cultivated for 3, 5, or 6 days, and then one or two is transferred back into the woman’s uterus
Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a type of IVF designed for men with low sperm count or poor morphology. With ICSI, the lab tech injects a single sperm into an egg to fertilise it. The rest of the process is the same as IVF
Physiological intracytoplasmic sperm injection (PICSI)
PICSI is an additional step added to ICSI to help embryologists choose the best sperm (which they normally do by eye). A PICSI dish contains naturally occurring hyaluronic acid that attracts the best sperm
Some women want to freeze their eggs for future use because of medical treatment (like chemotherapy) or because they are not ready to have a baby at the time.
Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy
These are invasive internal investigations of a woman’s uterus. Laparoscopy is done with a keyhole surgery, and hysteroscopy uses a long wand to insert a camera through the cervix and into the uterus. Both should always be done with full pain management or general anaesthetic, as hysteroscopy without anaesthetic can be excruciating.
Embryologists use laser-assisted hatching techniques to weaken the Zona Pellucida, the protein layer surrounding the egg. They will use a layer to open the zona before they transfer the embryo to the uterus to promote successful implantation. Some assisted hatching techniques use acid, but laser is the best option.
Cryopreservation is a technique in which sperm, eggs and embryos are frozen at a sub-zero temperature to preserve them for future when the need arise.
Donor sperm and eggs
Many people wishing to have a baby find that they do not have viable genetic material. This happens for a wide array of reasons. Most clinics can help you arrange donor sperm and eggs for you to use in your treatments. In some cases, you can also take advantage of donor embryos.
Some single guys want to be fathers, and some ladies have medical reasons why they can’t carry their own child. In his case, you can arrange to use a gestational surrogate. They are not related to the child, but instead, just carry the baby to term. They have no legal or parental rights or duties. In some cases, single guys can work with a surrogate who both donates her eggs and carries the child.
Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)
Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) allows embryologists to assess the genetic viability of an embryo before it is transferred back into the uterus. This can help prevent miscarriage and increase the chances of successful implantation.
PRP for diminished ovarian reserve
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. In fertility clinics, it refers to injecting PRP into the ovaries, which has been shown in some studies to increase the number of eggs retrieved during IVF treatment. This is helpful for women with a low ovarian reserve.
TESE for low sperm count
Testicular Sperm Extraction is a way to extract sperm from men with an extremely low sperm count or an inability to ejaculate, allowing couples to undertake ICSI or IVF. In this procedure, a doctor removes sperm with needle aspiration to find even the smallest amount of sperm
